New Technology Center for Material Sciences
As one of the key technologies, new materials will shape the next century and generate high growth rates in the upcoming decades. RhyTech Materials World offers the ideal setting to develope and manufacture new technologies and successfully introduce them into market. RhyTech Materials World was founded specifically to empower the technological competences in the material sciences sector and to actively promote business start-ups and support already established technological companies in marketing their innovations. RhyTech is a public private partnership of Alcan Technology & Management AG, ITS Industrie- und Technozentrum Schaffhausen and the Canton of Schaffhausen. The objective is to focus the competences in the material-technological sector in the Schaffhausen region so that new, interdisciplinary technological projects can be launched and new high tech start-ups with innovative technologies are fostered and successfully established on the market. RhyTech is located on the Alcan premises in Neuhausen near the Rhine Falls. In addition to spacious test labs, it also provides ample office space and a technical center with 4,000 square meters of available floor space. Start-ups will benefit from a comprehensive support program designed to improve their foundation, financing, industrialization, and the technical implementation of the business concept along with the market launch in an international environment. They will be provided with a superbly developed infrastructure as well as access to an international technological network. Already established technological enterprises will find an exceptional environment at RhyTech where interdisciplinary R&D projects are implemented and access to comprehensive material testing and services provided by experts is available. Universities, in turn, will get easier access to industrial projects through RhyTech. RhyTech is on the Materialica with its own booth (C4/102).
