Thyssen Röhm Kunststoffe markets innovative Panel Connecting System Chyll®
Never before has it been possible for ideas to take shape so easily and quickly. One System for All Ideas, Chyll® is an innovative cubed connecting system (PCS) allowing panels to be shaped to bodies or objects with the aid of aluminum profile strips and the matching corner elements. The ideal solution therefore when assembling showcases, illuminated objects, displays, furniture or other interior objects of high esthetic appeal.
This original system is now being introduced onto the European market, the launch spearheaded by Düsseldorf-based Thyssen Röhm Kunststoffe. For the first time, 13 companies at 63 locations with a sales staff of 121 are joining forces in this centrally coordinated product launch. Among them Otto Wolff Kunststoffvertrieb GmbH.
For fairs and exhibitions, business premises, shops, museums, domestic environments, product presentations, Chyll® allows countless combinations and permutations in objects, shapes, colors, and thicknesses, permanently or temporarily. Lecterns, walls, facings, tables, room dividers, design light fixtures or displays for advertising and sales promotion are created with the greatest of ease. Exhibits and products are smartly staged, domestic interiors given that extra spice, and stores or business premises restyled.
The secret: The cube comprises corner elements (plugs and locks), profile strips for connecting the panels (rectangular, flat, orthogonal) as well as the panels themselves from such materials as Plexiglass®, Trespa® (wood-fiber reinforced resin composite panels) or MDF (medium-density fiberboards). In certain instances, Dibond® (high-grade plastic/metal composite panels with a polyethylene core and alumimum coating on both sides) may also be used.
Chyll® has countless advantages as endorsed by Thomas Bekel, masterminding the launch. "Never before has it been so easy to perfectly combine such a wide variety of materials and materials thicknesses into design objects, to take them apart at any time and reassemble them to form new combinations. Chyll® allows cubic systems of the highest appeal to be created most attractively. The systems are tight, dust free, and remarkable for their rigidity. The mounting and installation options are wide ranging: free-standing, built-in, wall-mounted or suspended."
No visible bonding surfaces or splices, no assembly traces, the system boasts low-stress structural properties: outstanding static stability, load-bearing capacity, and materials flexibility.
